가장 눈에 띄는 트랙이라하면 2곡의 올드팝을 들 수 있겠다. 10번 트랙인 길버트 오셜리번 (Gilbert O’Sullivan) 의 “Alone Again, Natually” 는 특히 한국인이 좋아하는 올드팝 베스트 넘버중의 단골손님처럼 곧잘 오르내리는 곡이기도 하다. 아일랜드 출신임에도 불구하고 무난한 팝감각을 소유한 그였기에 미국 팝시장에서도 적지않은 히트곡을 탄생시키기도했다. 그의 여러 히트곡들, “If You Ever”, “Houndini Said”, “Tomorrow, Today”, 그리고 본 앨범에 수록되어진 “Alone Again, Natually” 중 비단 국내에서는 “Alone Again, Natually” 만이 어느정도 인지도를 지닐뿐 실로 길버트 오셜리번에 대한 적당한 평가가 이뤄지지 않기도 하다. 흡사 폴 매카트니 (Paul Mccartney) 와 여러방면에서 상당한 유사점을 보이기에 평가절하된 부분도 없진 않지만, 길버트 오셜리번 자신만의 서정적인 멜로디 라인과 또한 시적이기까지한 아름다운 가사의 그의 음악은 그 누구와도 비교할 수 없을 만치 매력적이다.

11번 트랙의 “Born to be Wild” 을 들어보시고 ‘어! 어디서 많이 들어본 노래인데..’ 하는 네티즌들이 분명 있으리라. 바로 New American Cinema 의 기수인 [Easy Rider] 에 삽입되어 많은이들의 뇌리에 깊이 각인되었던 곡이니 말이다. 스탭팬울프 (Steppenwolf) 는 보컬 존 케이 (John Kay) 를 중심으로 하여 1967년 미국 LA 에서 결성된 밴드이다. 1972년 팀이 해체되기까지 길지만은 않은 5년이란 세월동안 하드락, 싸이키델릭, 록큰롤 사운드를 구사하며 음악사에 결코 지워지지않을 그들만의 자취를 남기기도 했다. 본 앨범에 수록되어진 “Born to be Wild” 역시 기본적인 로큰롤 사운드를 기본으로 존 케이의 하드락 보컬과 곡 내내는 아니라지만 곡의 중반부를 비롯하여 기타의 몽롱할만치의 윙윙 거리는 사운드는 씨이킥한 요소까지 두루 갖추고 있다. 특히 가사중에 헤비메탈 (Heavy Metal) 이란 단어가 최초로 사용되어진 곡으로 유명하기도 하다.
